Chemical Peels

What does the course involve?

The objective of this course is to train students on the basic technique of improving the skin by using medical grade chemical peels. Medical Grade Chemical Peels are formulated differently to Beauty Peels. The PH of the most popular medical peels range between 1.6 and 0.7, making the peels much more potent than Beauty Peels. Upon completion, the students will become confident in diagnosing skin problems, developing skin programs, and treating a range of skin conditions with peels and skin care; including, hyper pigmentation, acne skin, dry skin, oily skin and mature skin. This course is invaluable to aestheticians whose aim is to help their clients maintain healthy skin for life.

As part of the course, we will provide a cd with pre-defined skin and peel protocols for the 12 different skin types. We will discuss the etiology of the skin disorder and how to treat the skin with peels and home care. Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion are as popular as Botox® treatments, but they are undersold by medical professionals, since they take more time and are less profitable. Conversely, the revenue generated from peel demand is great and this is a procedure which Medical Aestheticians can provide in their clinics or as part of a medical team.
